Six Months, Sixteen States, and Endless Memories

It’s been a minute since our last blog!

We hope you’ve missed our posts but not all the exciting videos we’ve been putting out. We wanted to share the adventures and shenanigans from our six-month trek out west, and every experience came with a video for you to enjoy.

Since July, we’ve been living life with friends and family, attending doctor’s appointments, celebrating our daughter’s 40th birthday, visiting the Hershey RV Show, and hosting our September Camping Social with some of the most amazing friends and subscribers ever. We planned the social at one of our favorite campgrounds, RiverWalk RV Park in Jonesville, NC. If you haven’t been to RiverWalk, make your way there ASAP!

Having our social in North Carolina was epic because we hadn’t realized how much we missed hanging out at this park.

Attendees came from all over, and we even had couples drive in from as far away as Connecticut and Texas. Duane and I were so blessed to have wonderful sponsors who helped us provide gifts, giveaways, and some delicious food for the group. We sang, danced, socialized, ate, played, and just had an amazing time.

Since the Camping Social, we’ve continued to roam around, enjoying several parks as we made our way to Florida and eventually to the Florida Keys, where we spent the month of November. The trip out West and the month in Key West were definitely bucket-list adventures for us. Duane had teased for years that he wanted to make it past the Mississippi and watch the sunrise and sunset in Key West.

We finally made it to Key West, Florida!

Bucket list item achieved! How beautiful!

This year we experienced both of those milestones and couldn’t be happier that we did.

If you remember, we coined 2025 as “The Year of Us.” We set aside all of our other plans to focus our travels on the places we wanted to see. We checked off 16 states during our six-month journey!

We shared sights and adventures we never would have experienced if we had chosen to stay in one place. We learned that we’re more adventurous and spontaneous than we ever imagined. We didn’t visit every national park or monument that most people head West to see because that wasn’t our plan. Since this was “The Year of Us,” we went where the western winds led us and enjoyed every destination along the way.

This year we truly lived out our tagline: “Enjoy the Journey on the Way to Your Destination.”

Sometimes the journey really is the best part!
